The Break/Fix Technicians at Verizon were having to use 4 different web applications to perform their job duties. I was tasked as the lead designer to bring all 4 functionalities into one responsive application. Now, the Break/Fix Technicians would only need one application to monitor servers around the world.
Create a powerful application that combines 4 functionalities of previous applications into one so the job of a Break/Fix Technician is more stream-lined.
User Research: Interviewed Break/Fix Technicians who use the current 4 applications on a daily basis, and train users how to use the application. Interviewed developers to get a better understanding of its functionalities and what they would like to see modified in the current system.
Stakeholder Interviews: Interviewed the senior manager to determine the core functionalities and requirements.
Market Research: Researched, attended live demos and compared other monitoring applications to determine if additional features are necessary for our users.
Collaborated with the innovation, product marketing, web strategy, design and development teams to compile the project requirements documents.
